Join the NCLC Team

Students can gain hands-on event planning skills by joining the National Collegiate Leadership Conference Planning Committee. This co-curricular experience offers students the opportunity to be involved in all aspects of conference planning.

In addition to planning the conference, students enroll in an Event Planning Class offered at the University of Arizona. This course will train students on event planning and management by learning skills such as how to work with teams, develop marketing strategies, budgeting, networking, and creating a vision.

E-mail NCLC if you are interested in joining the Planning Committee: nclc@email.arizona.edu

Not in Tucson? You can still be part of the Planning Committee. Become part of our Programs Review Committee and review workshop proposals for the 2008 conference. If you are interested in joining, email us at nclc@email.arizona.edu.

Volunteer

The National Collegiate Leadership Conference is not possible without the help of dedicated volunteers. Volunteers are involved in a variety of ways throughout the conference. Students can also receive free conference registration for meeting a minimum number of volunteer hours throughout the conference. Take advantage of this opportunity to be involved in many of the behind the scenes workings of the National Collegiate Leadership Conference.

Types of volunteer opportunities include:

Volunteer opportunities are developed each year based on conference activites. Students also receive pre-conference training on their various volunteer responsibilities.

E-mail NCLC if you are interested in volunteering at the conference: nclc@email.arizona.edu

Positions

Executive Director

The Executive Director-External position calls for the ability and desire to engage in creative problem solving and work in a team-based structure. One University of Arizona student is selected to serve in this capacity because this is a position that requires a great deal of time and attention throughout the academic year and during the summer. The ability to work well with peers and communicate the vision, mission, values and goals of the conference to those on (and outside of) the planning committee is required.
