This award is presented to one University of Arizona graduate student for outstanding leadership, academic excellence, involvement in co-curricular activities, community service activities, and rapport with faculty, staff, peers, and undergraduates.

additional eligibility criteria:

 Must be a University of Arizona graduate student, either at the masters or doctoral level

 Complete Nomination Form

 In letter or essay format please describe why the nominee should be considered for this award using the following points as a guide:

• Explain how the nominee’s involvement in and/or contributions to the University and/or Tucson community have been characterized by respect for the dignity of others.

• Illustrate a particular situation in which the nominee has inspired others to act. Explain this situation in terms of service to others through insight, values, and skills that may have been used to lead a group towards a common goal. In other words, how does he/she exemplify leadership and leadership skills?

• Demonstrate how growth from various experiences has assisted the nominee in becoming an informed, responsible, and productive community member.

• Describe a situation in which the nominee fostered cooperation among groups and individuals.
