When you join a sorority at the University of Arizona, you become a member of an even larger organization, the Panhellenic Association. The Panhellenic Association is the governing body for the sororities; it consists of two representatives from each chapter, six executive officers from various chapters, and a Coordinator for Greek Life. The Panhellenic Association meets bimonthly to discuss current issues and upcoming events. They are also responsible for local Panhellenic operation in accordance with the National Panhellenic Conference (NPC) policies and procedures.
The NPC is a conference of womens private social fraternities and sororities founded in 1902, which includes the 26 member national an international womens fraternity and sorority delegates. The University of Arizona Panhellenic Association is comprised of 12 NPC sororities and six community service based sororities. Because the Panhellenic Executive Board sponsors the Membership Recruitment Week and directs the Recruitment Counselors, please speak to an Executive Officer or Recruitment Counselor about any comments, questions, or concerns.
