Checking In

It is mandatory that all Potential New Members check in for the Membership Recruitment Week on Wednesday, August 15 (any time from 9am to 3pm) at the Park Student Union. Recruitment Counselors located around campus will direct you to the site of check-in. You will receive your t-shirt, the location of your orientation meeting, and a handbook that will outline more specific schedules, meeting rooms, and other activities planned for the week.

What To Bring

• Comfortable shoes (you will be walking around campus quite a bit).
• Umbrella–August is Arizona's hot, rainy season!
• Eleven recent wallet size photos-these photos DO NOT have to be professionally taken, but please make sure that they are clear. Color copies are fine.
• Clothing for the Membership Recruitment Week (see examples).

Transportation & Directions

The University of Arizona is located 20 minutes North of the Tucson International Airport and about 100 miles South of the Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport. The Arizona Stagecoach, a transportation service, can bring you directly to campus upon arrival in Tucson. There are numerous transportation services to bring you to Tucson upon arrival in Phoenix.

If you are driving into Tucson via Interstate I-10, exit Speedway Blvd. and go East (toward town). The UA is located approximately 10 minutes from the Interstate. Follow Speedway Blvd. until you get to Mountain Avenue, go South (turn right) and follow it until you reach the Student Union Memorial Center. Visitor parking is available in various locations throughout campus, and during the weekend all parking lots are open to everyone.
