academic requirements

Sororities are especially dedicated to scholastic aspects of Greek Life and ensures that their members have the resources and abilities necessary to achieve their academic goals. In order to extend an invitation for membership to a Potential New Member, every UA chapter must have proof of a minimum CGA as required by their national organization. These requirements vary from chapter to chapter, so please refer to the chart when determining the grade cutoffs for the majority of sororities on our campus. Panhellenic strongly recommends that women have a minimum of a 2.5 unweighted high school GPA to participate in Fall Membership Recruitment.

The Panhellenic Executive Board will verify your grades through the University of Arizona Admissions Office.

Also note that your summer 2006 school grades will not be factored into your GPA for Membership Recruitment, unless an updated transcript is received at the Panhellenic office no later than August 7, 2006.

If you are a returning University of Arizona student or have transferred from an accredited community college or university, you must have the minimum college transfer GPA (see charts below).

You must send your most recent transcript to:
Panhellenic Association, Student Union Memorial Center
PO BoX 210017, Tucson, AZ 85721

Transcripts must be received by August 7, 2006.
