CATwalk Sponsorship
Supporting CATwalk is a great way to give back to the Tucson community and show solidarity in helping to fight for a cure for all women’s cancers. While you give back, take advantage of the tremendous opportunity for product presentation and sponsorship that CATwalk offers. Sponsoring CATwalk provides a unique strategic method to reach thousands of UA students, faculty and staff, cancer patients, survivors and their families in the Tucson area while you:
- Foster pride in your company
- Heighten awareness of your company’s social impact
- Strengthen your connection to the local community
- Create personally rewarding employee experiences
- Help fight for a cure for all women’s cancers
Your financial and/or in-kind support of this empowering day and meaningful mission will be broadly publicized in the time leading up to CATwalk. As a sponsor, your product or service will also be publicized the day of the event to over 3,000 CATwalk participants—with your logo or company name in widespread PSAs, ads, passport books, T-Shirts and other promotional materials.
The annual CATwalk has donated more than $120,000 in support of the Bobbi Olson Fund for women’s cancer research, education and prevention at the Arizona Cancer Center. With your help, we will greatly increase this support at the 7th annual CATwalk.
What is CATwalk?
Hall of Fame Basketball Coach Lute Olson, UA Athletics members and Wilbur & Wilma lead some 3,000 students and community members on a 5K walk and, new this year, a 10k run around the UA Tucson campus in order to raise money for women’s cancer research. Coach Olson kicks off CATwalk on the UA Mall with comedy, music, and fanfare. Teams of walkers and UA Athletics members encourage each other along the way, keeping track of their progress with the “paw” mile markers, and enjoying refreshments at the water stops. At the conclusion of the walk, participants walk through a congratulatory arch on their way to the Expo & Celebration.
CATwalk Passport
The CATwalk passport is a commemorative all-in-one guide given to all participants (estimated to be 3,000) at the conclusion of the walk. The passport will have valuable coupons from our sponsors, the CATwalk story, tickets for the prize drawing and for free food and drinks, advertisements and recognition from our sponsors, information about Coach Olson and his drive to cure cancer, tips on cancer screening and prevention, and stories about “walking for the cure.”
CATwalk Expo & Celebration
As walkers pass the finish line, they will enter into a one hour Expo & Celebration with live entertainment, games, sponsor tents and sampling, free food and drinks, a raffle drawing and presentation by Coach Olson to conclude CATwalk 2007. Sponsors each will have a tent to promote and sample their products and services. CATwalk participants will visit each sponsor’s tent to have their passports stamped for the raffle prize drawing. Many prizes, including the grand prize of two season tickets to the 2007/08 UA men’s basketball season, will be given away throughout the Expo & Celebration. There are many opportunities to further shape this event, available only to the CATwalk platinum sponsor.
