The CATwalk team is gearing up for another record year this November 15, 2008. Join us in the fight! To see how you can help, contact catwalk@email.arizona.edu, and you can still click the paw to donate directly to the Arizona Cancer Center at any time.

Many thanks to the UA fraternity & sorority community, and some 3,000 of the UA and Tucson communities for coming out and helping raise a record $130,000 for the Bobbi Olson Fund at the Arizona Cancer Center! Our total so far is over a quarter of a million! We couldn’t have done it without our Sponsors, especially Casino del Sol, and without the talent of Jody Oehler and the support of the entire Olson family. Two great events at CATwalk 2007

5k non-competitive walk: Our flagship event is the CATwalk 5k, a 3.1 mile family-friendly walk. Thousands will walk with the Olson family in a celebration of wellness, health, and fitness.

10k Run: In partnershp with the Southern Arizona Roadrunners, CATwalk 2007 introduces the first CATwalk 10k Run, a 6.2 mile running race open to all ages and abilities.

A note from Coach Olson

It has been my pleasure over the past few years to work with the UA Fraternity and Sorority Students helping to raise funds for the Division of Women’s Cancers at the Arizona Cancer Center. As you know after losing my first wife, Bobbi to cancer, this is a personal commitment of mine... to find a cure! But, like a basketball game, there can’t be just one player on the court. This is a Team effort.

This year’s CATwalk is just around the corner and we are making it a wonderful family event where everyone can walk against cancer. All of the funds raised stay right here in our community benefiting the Arizona Cancer Center at the University of Arizona. Please accept this as my personal invitation to attend and be a part of my team. It just won’t be the same without you!

Need motivation to get you ready for the CATwalk 10K run? Join the Arizona Cancer Center’s Better Than Ever training program with my family and I to get instant motivation. This is a great way to make training fun and to also raise more awareness and money for the Arizona Cancer Center. At the completion of your training you will have the personal satisfaction of knowing that you actually will feel better than ever!

Register now then mark the date on your calendar, Saturday, November 10th.
I look forward to CATwalking with you!
