Accolades is a ceremonial salute to University excellence. We celebrate the achievements of outstanding members of our campus community and take pride in Wildcats who have committed themselves to The University of Arizona. Recognize and congratulate these extraordinary people and groups by nominating them for an Accolades award.
The deadline for nominations is March 23, 2009. Please fill out one of the applications below about a certain person or group whom you feel has done something special.
We also invite you to join us on April 28, 2009 for a glamorous night of food, fun, and Accolades.

Individual Awards
This award is presented to a University of Arizona masters/doctoral student for outstanding leadership, academic excellence, and involvement in co-curricular activities, community service, and general rapport with faculty, staff, peers, and undergraduates.
This award is presented to a Faculty member who has shown outstanding commitment to the students he/she advises, while teaching and inspiring them to succeed.
This award is presented to a Professional Staff Member who has shown outstanding commitment to his/her work, while encouraging and advocating for students.
This award is presented to an individual who selflessly advocates for the interests of others. This person supports, promotes, and defends access and equality for all members of our community.
This award is presented to a University of Arizona undergraduate senior for outstanding leadership, involvement in co-curricular activities and community service throughout his/her collegiate experience.
This award is presented to a deserving graduate teaching assistant or graduate assistant that has made a meaningful difference in the education of students. This person inspires students to achieve by being more than a mentor; they are a friend, a guide and role model. What makes this person exceptional is his/her willingness to make himself/herself available to meet the needs of students. He/she is respected, flexible and a joy to work with.
This award is presented to a University of Arizona student who has exemplified the characteristics of Servant Leadership through selfless acts of leadership that have supported and inspired their peers and those at the University of Arizona throughout his/her collegiate experience.
This award is presented to an Organization Advisor who has shown outstanding commitment to the organization he/she advises by providing support and encouragement to the organization while challenging each student to succeed.
Group Awards
This award is presented to a University of Arizona student organization for implementing an outstanding collaborative program. This organization has demonstrated their ability to promote a sense of cooperation between organizations in a joint program. Their willingness to accommodate and be flexible is proof of their benevolent character. This organization promotes open-mindedness, cooperation between participants, and all-inclusiveness, while at the same time establishing their own identity.
This award goes to a department on campus that has gone above and beyond their duties. They have consistently served their students, staff and faculty by providing a place of support, encouraging diversity, creativity, and involvement on campus, and have promoted excellence in education.
This award is presented to a University of Arizona student organization for implementing an outstanding multi-cultural program. This organization demonstrates their ability to promote a sense of cooperation between different cultures in a program. The program encourages the preservation of different cultures and cultural identities within a unified society and establishes a sense of open-mindedness and self-identity for the participants while educating the whole of the campus community.
This award is presented to a University of Arizona student organization for implementing an outstanding community service program. The service-oriented organization selected as the recipient of this award will have demonstrated their understanding of social responsibility by performing services that benefit the public or institutions in the community. This organization will have generously donated their time and skills, in order to improve the quality of life within our society.
This award is presented to a new student organization for developing itself and providing support to its members, despite their new position on campus. Its continued involvement and enthusiastic participation is proof of the organization’s establishment at the UA.
This award is presented to a University of Arizona student organization for implementing an outstanding philanthropy program. The philanthropic organization selected as the recipient of this award will have given monetary donations, and goods to support a charitable cause. This altruistic and selfless cause has promoted a sense of well-being and improved the quality of life in our surrounding community.
This award is presented to a recognized and registered Student Organization, that has made exceptional contributions within the UA community. This organization not only advances the mission of The University of Arizona but they also positively represent their interests on and off campus, demonstrating wildcat spirit while being a source of UA pride.
