Center for Student Involvement & Leadership

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Admittance to a graduate program and/or currently pursuing a masters or doctoral degree at the University of Arizona

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience advising and working with students
  • Experience in program planning and assessment /evaluation
  • Computer literacy
  • Strong communication and organizational skills

The positions listed encompass all of the graduate assistantships within the Center for Student Involvement & Leadership, however not all positions will be available each academic year. A two year commitment to the position is encouraged. All positions are 20 hours per week, 9-12 month positions with a salary range of $9,500-11,000 and could include weekend or evening hours.


Campus Activities

Graduate Assistant, Campus Activities- General

This position directly assists the Senior Coordinator for Campus Activities & Social Justice Programs in oversight of Wilbur's Underground, Gallagher Movie Theater, and the Board (University Activities Board). This position will focus on advising, event planning, leadership development, and supervision of student staff.

Graduate Assistant, Campus Activities-Gallery

This position directly assists the Senior Coordinator of Social Justice Programs and Campus Activities in oversight of the Union Gallery, Social Justice Programs, and the Board. This position will focus on advising, program development, leadership development and supervision of student staff.

Graduate Assistant, Campus Activities-Off Campus Housing

This position directly assists the Coordinator for Off Campus Housing & Commuter Services in oversight of The Office of Off Campus Housing & Commuter Services. This position will focus on program development, marketing and supervision of student staff.


Fraternity & Sorority Programs

Graduate Assistant, Fraternity & Sorority Programs- Academics

The Fraternity & Sorority Programs Graduate Assistant is an integral part of the Fraternity & Sorority Programs staff as well as the Center for Student Involvement & Leadership. This opportunity will offer an emerging professional excellent ways of gaining knowledge and understanding of the Fraternity & Sorority advising profession. This position will provide advising, program development, and leadership in various aspects of Fraternity & Sorority Programs. The focus of this position is the implementation of the Aristotle Academic Program for the UA fraternity and sorority community.

Graduate Assistant, Fraternity & Sorority Programs- Wellness

The Fraternity & Sorority Programs Graduate Assistant is an integral part of the Fraternity & Sorority Programs staff as well as the Center for Student Involvement & Leadership. This opportunity will offer an emerging professional excellent ways of gaining knowledge and understanding of the Fraternity & Sorority advising profession. This position will provide advising, program development, and leadership in various aspects of Fraternity & Sorority Programs. The focus of this position is the implementation of the Olympian Wellness Program for the UA fraternity and sorority community.


Leadership Programs

Graduate Assistant for Leadership Programs-Blue Chip

This position will develop, coordinate, and administer leadership programs for students in the Arizona Blue Chip Program, as well as the general student population of the University of Arizona. The position will also coordinate the Leadership & Involvement Transcript program including marketing, approvals, and printing transcripts.

Graduate Assistant for Leadership Programs-ATLAS

This position will develop, coordinate, and administer leadership programs for students in the ATLAS Leadership Program, as well as the general student population of the University of Arizona. This position will coordinate the selection process for returning and new Blue Chip students to live in the residential college as well as assist in the placement of Blue Chip R.A.s.
