Clubs and Organizations are moving!

Hello student leaders!

On behalf of ASUA – YOUR Student Government, I would like to officially announce that all matters related to clubs & organizations are now a part of ASUA.  We believe that this will be a tremendous benefit to clubs & organizations because you will only have to go to one location for all of your needs.  This transition does come with some changes that we can share with you and there will also be some changes occurring that will be announced once they are complete.

Dr. Kevin Nutter & CSIL will no longer play any role with clubs & organizations. The ASUA club advocates will be taking on more responsibilities in an effort to make this transition as smooth as possible for you.  Executive Vice President Jessica Anderson will oversee all aspects of Clubs & Organizations in the ASUA Club Resource Center. ASUA Clubs & Orgs Graduate Assistant Megan Prescott & ASUA Senior Coordinator Peter Pereira will serve as your new club coordinators & are available to assist you with this transition.

In order to make the necessary changes to streamline the clubs & organization process, the recognition & re-recognition processes have been suspended until the beginning of the school year.  There will be a mandatory meeting that all clubs will need to attend in order to either become or renew their recognition status.  At this meting we will share with you all of the necessary information that you will need to maintain your recognition status.

Please review some frequently asked questions that we have noticed & their answers. If you have a different question, please email us at uaorgs@email.arizona.edu & we will get back to you as soon as possible.

Bear Down & Get Excited!

- Tommy Bruce, ASUA Student Body President

Student Involvement Fair

Associated Students of the University of Arizona (ASUA) will sponsor the Student Involvement Fair on August 28 from 10am to 1pm on UA Mall. The Student Involvement Fair is a great way to advertise activities and upcoming events and recruit new students to your club or organization.

If your organization would like to reserve a table and two chairs for the Student Involvement Fair, please RSVP to uaorgs@email.arizona.edu by August 18, 2008. Note that reservations are for a table and two chairs only. You will have to provide other equipment if desired. Your specific location on the mall will be determined by a first come, first serve basis the day of, so arrive early to claim your location and set up.

You must RSVP to reserve space for your organization to be represented on UA Mall! Don’t make this great opportunity to meet new students and personally invite them into your organization!
